Nursing orientation program

The School of Nursing helps you adjust to a new learning environment by holding orientation sessions.

Incoming nursing students can expect:

  • Opportunities for meaningful interactions with peers, faculty, staff and administration to promote community
  • Referrals for academic support based on pre-matriculation assessments
  • Ways to achieve success in academic life, social relationships and out-of-class learning experiences
  • Communication of the school’s expectations for academic responsibility and professional integrity, advising, student mistreatment, student records and disciplinary action policies
  • An understanding of available resources, including information about public safety, the medical library, information technology, diversity, counseling services, academic support, student health and financial aid.
Career engagement efforts

The Center for Student Affairs and Engagement provides professional coaching and resources students can use to improve their communication skills by developing competitive resumes and cover letters and participating in mock interviews.

Student engagement activities

The Center for Student Affairs and Engagement helps students organize educational, cultural, social and wellness activities in conjunction with the Center for Student Wellness.
